So you’ve got an iPhone but don’t take many photos because they all seem to come out crappy. Well guess what, it turns out that people have a love for crappy photos. That’s right, “crappy” is another word for “character”, something all these picture-perfect high-megapixel digital cameras these days seem to be without. People love old-school instant Polaroids and Holgas that leak light. In Japan, they call ‘em Toy Cameras. Hell, there is a whole Lomographic Society for people who love this stuff.
With these three apps, your iPhone can make photos that are crappy into photos with character:
CameraBag – Take a photo then choose what style of photograph you want. 10 different filters. This is my favorite! Here are a few examples:
Toy Camera – Unlike CameraBag, this one randomly selects filters to use on your photo, just like the real thing! Here’s an example:
Quad Camera – This one is a little different. It takes 4 – 8 photos in succession then stitches them together. Example:
